What is the P-Shot?

The P-Shot is a sexual wellness treatment that uses injections of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) that is taken from the patient’s own blood. The P-Shot encourages the growth of brand new blood vessels for those who may have poor circulation or trouble maintaining an erection for other reasons. For some, one P-Shot treatment is all they need. Others may require up to three treatments.

P-Shot treatment details

When you arrive for your P-Shot appointment, the penis area will be numbed with a topical anesthetic, followed by a numbing shot.


Blood will be drawn from your vein and placed within a centrifuge, which is a device that spins the blood to separate the red blood cells from the platelet-rich plasma. Once the plasma is separated, it will be put into a syringe and then injected into the penis.


The injections are administered with a micro needle to minimize any discomfort, and there are typically 4 to 6 of them. The entire session usually takes about half an hour.

Recovery and results

After your P-Shot treatment, you may return to your regular daily activities. Some patients may experience mild swelling and/or bruising, but this is normal and will subside in a day or two.


Most patients see and feel results about 24 hours after treatment, with results lasting six months — at which point, you may return for a maintenance treatment. For optimal results, we recommend a healthy lifestyle with a good diet and regular exercise to enhance the outcome. Some patients find that supplements help elevate the P-Shot’s results as well.
